More on Rosie.....

Please keep Rosey in your thoughts and prayers.  She goes into the hospital tomorrow for six days of chemo and treatments.  I love her with all my being.  I know in my heart of hearts that she is going to be ok.  I just hate it that she has to go through this to get there.  Love to all my friends, Kathy

"Thrift Store" Treasures and Ideas.....

I find myself drawn to the local thrift store on a weekly basis, checking out the jewelry they have.  Most weeks, it's junk jewelry and nothing I find interesting.  Some days I find the treasures of someone's long lost jewelry, and ideas come from them.   This is an "earring".  OK...I like 'large' but this is "LARGE".  I look at it and see the possibilities of a pendant in this shape and texture.  I can see making a mold out of this piece.  Maybe doing something kind of funky with it.  Using black clay, and dropping some alcohol inks on it (kind of letting them blend together) and letting them dry then putting a couple of coats of Kato Liquid on it.  What do you think? 

I love this next piece, and can actually see myself incorporating it into a one of a kind piece, using waxed linen and doing all kinds of dangles from the holes in bottom.

It has a vintage look to it, and I see lots of possibilities here.

I am not sure of my game plan with these pieces yet.  They are definitely vintage and beautiful even if they are missing a rhinestone.  I picked these up for $ .79.  They are lovely.  Maybe some one out there has an idea on these? 

These hearts have 'mold material' written all over them.  Once again, I'm not sure on the use yet, but they were a treasure definitely worth picking up.  Am I the only 'thrift store' browser?

Please keep Rosey in your prayers.  We just found out that she is going to need more aggressive treatment.  Obviously, that is going to be harder on everyone.  Especially her.  Keep our Angel in your prayers.
