CHA

CHA is happening right now.  Wonder what new and exciting is coming out for the polymer clay world?  As I'm wondering it brings to mind those wild and wacky sisters, Cathy Johnston and Sue Kelsey, as I'm SURE they're at CHA demoing something fun!  Here are a couple of photos of Cathy Johnston's work.  Check out Cathy's work at Cathy Johnston's Home Page.

Random Stuff.....

My brother is out of the hospital and doing reasonably well.  His body and antibiotics are finally fighting the infections.  When he heals from this, he will have to start fighting the cancer again.  And I know he will!  We have plans to go on vacation this summer together. 

I received an email from Julie Picarello (see previous post) ~  Her clay work is fantastic!  AND we found out that we have a common ground besides clay.  We like the same authors!  I am thrilled about that.  I am really into fantasy novels.  I am into watching the Dresden Files on Sci-Fi Channel right now.  They are loosely based on novels written by Jim Butcher.  I impatiently wait for the next novel.......

My best bud, Cindy, has started a blog site.  You can check it out at OppsDesperateBlogger

I have been working on getting pieces ready for the "green" show at local gallery.  Then...I've got work on my NEW STUFF....I am so ready to be working on something new....

Mega Clay Gun

Anyone out there with good reports on the Mega Clay Gun from Polymer Clay Express?  I see they now have new guns with a metal barrel.  I have the original gun, the small adapter, and almost all of the disks....and now I see they have these new disks out that would make tile bracelets a breeze!  OK...I used the gun once, and had some problems with it, but as with anything I know there is a learning curb.  Has anyone out there played with this a lot?  Had good results?  I'd sure like to hear about it!  I'm still debating on ordering these disks.....and do I need the new metal barrel?  HELP!  I am a tool junkie, and have to buy everything.  I guess I'm being more conservative here than usual.  Anyone?
