Marla Frankenberg

My friend (and clay artist extrodanaire) Marla Frankenberg, just sent me a real live photo of "the boss", Bruce Springsteen!  WOWOWOW!!!!!!  He's standing with Marla's son!!  And he danced with Marla's daughter!  (Move over Courtney Cox!) I'm not sharing it, sorry!  Probably because there are drool marks all over it, or something!  Marla is such a talent!  She makes claying a lot of fun, too.  I love the freedom she allows herself when she clays..... Marla made this pin with the cane she made while we were at the Buckeye Clay Bash....isn't it beautiful?  I took a class with Marla in Michigan a while back...it was great fun!  If you have the chance, take a class with Marla!  The second photo is a

been in a funk....

I've been in kind of a clay funk.  Although my class in Michigan last weekend was fabulous. Jean Comport is a wonderful artist and teacher.  I'm going to contact her and see if she'll let me post a picture of her work.  I've GOT to get into production mode...but I've been reading instead!  My best friend, Cindy, got me these fun, funky books for my birthday.  And I've read two of the three.....AND I just ordered "Proven Guilty" from Amazon.  I KNOW when I get that I'll have to read it until I'm finished......I LOVE Fantasy.  Jim Butcher, author of "The Dresden Files" is one of my favorite.  "Proven Guilty" is the latest from that series.  Another "new" favorite author is Kim Harrison.  I just read "Dates from Hell" which has four stories in it, one by Kim.  I am also a fan of her new series....her latest "A Fist Full of Charms" comes out next month.  ANYWAY!  After I finished reading the Lust Lizard Book (yes.....) I finally strung two necklaces last night...and a couple of bracelets.  And another necklace this morning.  Need to pick up some head pins tonight for earrings on my way home.   Maybe I'll try to do a scan of my one little finished book from the class....
